Day 1 Negombo, North-West Coast
Welcome to Sri Lanka! A Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be met by our Tour Guide and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.
If you arrive early, have a stroll along the seaside to witness some of the local fishing craft. Maybe explore the beautiful surrounding city on a bicycle, which you can rent from your hotel reception.
Overnight stay at Jetwing Beach: Tastefully designed with Bawa influences, minimalist interiors, and contemporary art. A home away from home with something special for everyone.
Day 2 Sigiriya , Cultural Triangle
Next morning we journey to Sigiriya to ascend the magnificent palace of Sigiriya (Lion Rock) a UNESCO world heritage and considered the 8th wonder of the world. A ruined palace tops this dramatic rocky outcrop, rising from the surrounding plains. It's a good workout to get to the top.
After breakfast we indulge in the local flavour rural life by going on the Hiriwaduna village tour. Here you will experience the true rural life of Sri Lanka and engage in village activities which include oxen cart ride, traditional catamaran safari, village cooking demonstration with a delicious traditional lunch served to you.

Day 3 Polonnaruwa, Cultural Triangle
Today after breakfast conquer Pidurangala Rock, which is an intense ascent where you can have a breathtaking view of the Sigiriya Fortress. Afterwards you will make your way to Polonnaruwa to continue your explorations of the cultural triangle. Discover well-preserved temples, tombs and stupas in Polonnaruwa’s Quadrangle complex.
On return from Polonnaruwa we will explore a national park in search of gathering elephants. The Kaudulla National Park, Minneriya National Park and Hurulu Eco Park are connected through elephant corridors and offer sightseeing opportunities depending on the season. Elephant gatherings up to 150-200 can be observed during the season .
Later in the afternoon, head back for a final evening in Sigiriya, where you may want to enjoy a refreshing drink by the lake.

Day 4 & 5 Sigiriya to Kandy via Matale
Davatagala Five Peaks 16km Hiking Expedition
With Border Adventures 16km Hiking Expedition
This morning you will take a short drive to the incredible Dambulla Cave Temple. Here you’ll discover five caves filled with around 150 beautiful statues and paintings of Buddha – some as many as 2000 years old. Along the way, stop off in the city of Matale where you will visit a local spice garden and learn about the spices the country is famous for.
We will embark on a hiking expedition through dense forests of Knuckles Mountain Range. The “Davatagala Five Peaks” trail starts at around 1400 hrs and you will be picked from Kandy with an overnight stay at the camping site. The trek can be completed the following day around 1500 hrs in the evening covering 16km’s of walking trek. You will enjoy this rugged walking trek rife with waterfalls, dense flora and also experience the local culinary dishes at its best. Pick up and drop off from Kandy, meals, camping provisions, entrance tickets to the Knuckles Range are included. Professional instructors will accompany you during this hiking expedition. Upon completion you can check into the Hotel. In the evening you will go and watch the Kandy culture show showcasing traditional dancing in Sri Lanka.
Day 4 overnight stay with Border Adventures: Campsite Knuckles Mountain Range.
Day 5 overnight stay at Amaya Hills: Picturesque hilltop resort in Kandy, with contemporary and traditional design, spacious rooms, and breathtaking mountain views. Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and recreational activities.

Day 6 Kithulgala Whitewater Rafting
This morning, visit the famous Temple of the Tooth Relic. Located in the heart of town, this is the most important shrine in the country, housing a relic of a tooth of Buddha taken from his funeral pyre. Arrive in time and you may have the chance to witness the pooja, a small ceremony of reverence involving drummers and dancers.
Thereafter we will embark on an adrenaline-pumping white water rafting adventure in the picturesque town of Kithulgala and then drive to Colombo.

Day 7 Colombo to Airport - Departure
After breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and meet your guide who will take you on a city tour of Colombo. The tour will cover the main highlights of the city that merges the old and new such as the National Museum, the Viharamahadevi Park, the Gangaramaya temple and other attractions before taking you to the Airport.
