Day 1   Negombo, North-West Coast

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be met by our Tour Guide and transferred to your hotel in Negombo.

If you arrive early, have a stroll along the seaside to witness some of the local fishing craft. Maybe explore the beautiful surrounding city on a bicycle, which you can rent from your hotel reception.

Overnight stay at Jetwing Beach: Tastefully designed with Bawa influences, minimalist interiors, and contemporary art. A home away from home with something special for everyone.

Day 2   Negombo to Kalpitiya, North-Western Region

After breakfast, we journey to Munneswaram Kovil one of the important Ishwara kovils, a legendary landmark in the Ramayana epic where Rama prayed to lord Shiva after defeating Ravana (of Sri Lanka). After touring the kovil complex and vicinity drive to Kalpitiya, a popular beach destination on the northwestern coast for our overnight stay.

Overnight stay at Melheim Kalpitiya:A charming eco-friendly hotel offering comfortable accommodation amidst lush greenery. With a private beach, water sports, and a restaurant serving delicious seafood, it's a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

Day 3  Kalpititya, North-Western Region

Spend an extra day in Kalpitiya beach basking in the skin-tanning sun. You can choose optional excursion like kite surfing, dolphin and whale watching, and snorkeling at the bar reef along the peninsula.

Day 4  Kalpitiya to Wilpattu, North-West Region

Early morning we journey to Wilpattu National Park, the oldest nature park with over 100 lakes. When you arrive, set out for an evening safari in the national park. This thick, dry jungle features floodplain lakes and boasts an impressive variety of flora in the huge expanses of forest. Look out for deer, elephants, wild boar, sloth bears and leopards. After our wild safari we check in to our hotel in Wilpattu.

Day 5  Wilpattu to Jaffna , Northern Region

Following day we journey to Jaffna, a city that has risen from the ashes after being closed off to tourists during the civil war. Since it is a long journey on road, in the evening you can visit major attractions in the city such as the intricate Nallur Kovil with its golden arches and elaborate tower, the star-shaped Jaffna Fort, with breathtaking views on the sides facing the lagoon, the restored Jaffna Library, Point Pedro, which lies on the northernmost tip of the island facing the Bay of Bengal, and Jaffna Archaeological Museum.

Day 6  Jaffna, Northern-Region

Spend an extra day in Jaffna to explore the outskirts of the city. Visit the Kadurugoda Viharaya, where you can see Buddhist stupas, Dambakola Patuna Sangamitta Temple, which is a significant place for the Buddhists as it was where the daughter of Indian emperor Ashoka had arrived with the sapling of the Bo Tree marking an important timeline of events in the introduction of Buddhim to Sri Lanka. Keeramalai hot water springs and Naguleswaran Temple are also places of interest.

Day 7  Jaffna to Anuradhpaura, Cultural Triangle

Today you will journey to Anuradhapura the northern point of the cultural triangle. This area is bursting with stunning temples and sites of cultural and religious importance. You will embark on a guided bicycle tour of the city. Among the ruins, you'll see the sacred old Bo Tree, a spiritual reminder of the beginnings of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, and the inspiration for Anuradhapura's great buildings. The ruins themselves are spread over quite an area, some in woodland settings and others appearing park-like with columns and ponds dotted about.

Day 8  Anuradhapura, Cultural Triangle

Early morning after breakfast, drive to Mihintale Hill, the place it is believed that Buddhism was first introduced to the island. Climb the rock steps leading to a monastic sanctuary that was built under royal patronage covered with forest. Explore many cultural and religious sites situated nearby to get a glimpse into Buddhism. Upon completion, return to hotel in Anuradhapura.

Day 9  Anuradhapura to Colombo, Western Province

After breakfast we journey to Colombo, the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. A city which has been shaped by colonial influences. Take in the wonders of the city on a city tour covering key attractions such as the Colombo Fort, Gangaramaya, Temple, National Museum, Viharamahadevi park, Independence Square, Galle Face Green and more completing with some retail therapy at Colombo’s finest shops.

Overnight stay at Fairway Colombo: Located close to Colombo World Trade Center and Pettah Market, Fairway Colombo provides a free daily manager's reception, a rooftop terrace, and a coffee shop/cafe. Be sure to enjoy a meal at any of the 4 on-site restaurants. In addition to dry cleaning/laundry services and a bar, guests can connect to free in-room WiFi.

Day 10  Colombo to Airport - Departure

After breakfast leave for the Airport to catch your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time in Colombo. Our representative will meet up with you at the Airport to bid you farewell and to see you again in the near future!
